Perfumy szyprowe są jednym z najbardziej klasycznych i wyrafinowanych rodzajów kompozycji perfumeryjnych. Słowo "chypre" pochodzi od francuskiego słowa dla Cypru, co sugeruje śródziemnomorskie korzenie tego stylu perfum. Charakterystyka perfum szyprowych:

  1. Głowa (nuty początkowe): Owoce, często cytrusy, takie jak bergamotka.
  2. Serce (nuty środkowe): Kwiatowe i zielone akcenty, takie jak róża i jaśmin.
  3. Podstawa (nuty bazowe): Zapach drzewa dębowego mchu, paczuli i często labdanum.
